The agent of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has refused to clarify the status of the release clause in the Norwegian’s contract.
Haaland joined City last summer, signing a contract which did include a bumper release clause. Although it is believed that Pep Guardiola’s recent contract extension triggered a change in the terms of the agreement. Perhaps even removing it altogether.
There have been suggestions. That the clause has been removed altogether. But when asked for an update, Haaland’s agent Rafaela Pimenta, remained coy and, if anything, fuelled the uncertainty surrounding his future.
The Norwegian has enjoyed one of the most remarkable debut seasons ever seen in English football, with a staggering 52 goals to his name across all competitions. His strikes are a large part of the reason why City are still fighting on three fronts and on course for the treble.
“I have nothing to clarify,” she told UFABET. “The mystery of this story is very cute because you don’t know where it is, like a treasure chest. Anyway, as a lawyer, I can’t reveal the details of contracts.”
Haaland is known to be interest in testing himself across Europe. With Real Madrid keen to land the 22-year-old’s signature further down the line.
