Owen explains what Nunez should do as substitute at Liverpool.

  • Michael Owen advises Darwin Nunez after being benched in attacking role this season
  • Players must be patient and wait for the right opportunity.
  • The player still has a chance to play in the tight schedule in the near future.

Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has advised young Reds striker Darwin Nunez to wait for his chance after being a substitute for the first three games of the season.

Owen said: “When Arne Slot came in he had to pick three of his five forwards, so anyone. Who didn’t play was going to disappointe. You could say Darwin Nunez wasn’t in his starting XI but anything can happen with injuries and suspensions during the season.”

“You need a lot of players and Liverpool https://ufabet999.app certainly have no qualms about where they are now because it’s been a good start to the season. Some players can make quick decisions when a new manager comes in and suddenly they think they’re not going to play anymore.”

“I think Nunez is at an age where he doesn’t want to spend too much time on the bench, so I think it’s something to watch out for and it’s not like Jurgen Klopp was playing him every week or he was a substitute for a few games.”

“I think he might be a little bit worried, but I don’t think he needs to do much right now. Just be patient, keep practicing, and let’s see if there’s any change in the next two or three months.”
